OUR SURGEONS
Our dedicated surgeons, Dr. Francis D. Chionchio and Dr. Trina Sengupta, are highly skilled with years of training and experience. Equally important as their surgical skills are their gentle, caring and patient demeanors, which make them excellent surgeons for anxious patients. Our surgeons believe that the more a patient knows about a procedure, the less anxious he or she will be. Most anxious patients are treated with nitrous oxide or conscious sedation.
Dr. Chionchio and Dr. Sengupta take the time to explain the procedures in detail and invite questions. They also have the skills, the knowledge, the experience, and the personality to make your visit as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

To accomplish her goals, she completed a 1-year general practice residency at Philadelphia Veterans Administration Medical Center, treating and managing patients with various medical concerns in a hospital environment. At that point, she decided to continue her pursuit for specialization in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. She completed an internship at University of Illinois Medical Center in Chicago, IL followed by a 4 year Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at Brookdale Hospital in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Sengupta is a board-certified surgeon by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. She holds active membership in AAOMS, NYSSOMS, ADA, and NYSDA.
